Privacy Policy
This site collects one thing — an email address — for one purpose: telling you when the AQI™ public research demonstration opens. Here's exactly how that's handled.
What we collect
This site does one thing: it collects an email address when you submit the signup form. We don't ask for a name, don't set any tracking cookie, and don't run analytics or advertising scripts of any kind. The only other data stored alongside your email is the timestamp of your submission and a fixed label identifying it came from this page.
Where it lives
Your email is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, a Google Cloud Platform product, in a project operated by Nick Clark. Access is restricted by database security rules to create-only — nobody, including us, can read the list back through the website itself; we access it directly through the Firebase console.
How we use it
We use your email for exactly one purpose: to notify you when the AQI public research demonstration goes live. We will not sell, rent, or share your email with any third party, and we will not use it for any other marketing.
Retention
We keep signup emails until the demonstration has launched and the announcement has gone out, then delete the list. You can also ask us to delete your email at any time — see Contact below.
Your rights
Wherever you're located, you can ask us to tell you whether we hold your email, or to delete it, at any time, free of charge. If you're in the EU, UK, or Switzerland this reflects your rights under the GDPR (Art. 15, 17); if you're a California resident it reflects your rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We'll act on a request within 30 days.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect signups from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the entry.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will update the effective date above.
